Singapore Education and Career Consultants (SECC) is a web-based platform (owned by Aerium International Pte. Ltd. Singapore), which links students with educational Institutions, job seekers with employers and employers with job seekers.

All the candidates are required to demonstrate that they are genuinely interested with the program/ appointment they are applying for.

Registering with SECC requires candidates to create a SECC Profile. Candidates are required to provide accurate information including uploading a current CV/ resume and they may also be invited to submit a personal video introduction at a later stage.

SECC may share candidate profiles with potential educational institutions, employees and other agencies.

SECC registered individuals/ organizations are strictly not allowed to liaise with the potential educational institutions, employers, employees referred by SECC, without SECC’s written consent.

You may update your SECC Profile information at any time by logging into the SECC platform.

  1. Application of Terms
    1. These Terms apply to your use of the website & obtain SECC services.
    2. By accessing and using the website you agree to these Terms.
    3. If you do not agree to these Terms, you are not authorized to access and use the website, and you must immediately stop doing so.
  2. Changes
    1. We may change these Terms at any time by updating them on the website. Unless stated otherwise, any change take effect immediately. You are responsible for ensuring you are familiar with the latest Terms.
    2. By continuing to access and use the website, you agree to be bound by the changed Terms.
    3. We may change, suspend, discontinue, or restrict access to, the website without notice or liability.
  3. Definitions

In these Terms:

SECC refers to Singapore Education and Career Consultants which owned by Aerium International Pte. Ltd. Singapore.

Candidate Profile is the information which you provide when you create a candidate profile and populate the various fields including your photo, CV and in some cases a personalized video introduction.

SECC Candidates are refers to the individuals that have registered with SECC and created SECC profile via SECC website.

SECC Talent Team are refers to partners or contracted individuals that have been employed as part of the SECC team.

Loss includes loss of profits, savings, revenue or data, and any other claim, damage, loss, liability and cost, including legal costs on a solicitor and own client basis.

Participating Employers are refers to businesses or organizations that SECC dealing with.

Participating Educational Institutions are refers to businesses or organizations that SECC dealing.

Personal Information means information about an identifiable, living person.

Terms means these terms and conditions titled Website Terms of Use.

Underlying System means any network, system, software, data or material that underlies or is connected to the website.

Login means a unique name and/or password allocated to you to allow you to access certain parts of the website.

We, Us or Our means SECC.

  1. Your Obligations
    1. You must provide true, current and complete information in your dealings with us (including the information you provide when setting up a candidate profile).
    2. If you are given a Login, you must keep your Login secure and:
      1. not permit any other person to use your Login, including not disclosing or providing it to any other person; and
      2. immediately notify us if you become aware of any unauthorized use or disclosure of your Login, by sending an email to secc.email@gmail.com
    3. You must:
      1. not act in a way, or use or introduce anything (including any virus, worm, Trojan horse, timebomb, keystroke logger, spyware or other similar feature) that in any way compromises, or may compromise, the website or any Underlying System, or otherwise attempt to damage or interfere with the website or any Underlying System; and
      2. access the website via standard web browsers only and not by any other method. Other methods include scraping, deep-linking, harvesting, data mining, use of a robot or spider, automation, or any similar data gathering, extraction or monitoring method.
    4. indemnify us against all Loss we suffer or incur as a direct or indirect result of your failure to comply with these Terms, including any failure of a person who accesses and uses our Website by using your Login.
  2. Intellectual Property

We own all proprietary and intellectual property rights in the website (including all information, data, text, graphics, artwork, photographs, logos, icons, sound recordings, videos and look and feel), and the Underlying Systems.

  1. Disclaimers
    1. To the extent permitted by law, we and our licensors have no liability or responsibility to you or any other person for any Loss in connection with:
      1. the website being unavailable (in whole or in part) or performing slowly;
      2. any error in, or omission from, any information made available through the website;
      3. any exposure to viruses or other forms of interference which may damage your computer system or expose you to fraud when you access or use the website. To avoid doubt, you are responsible for ensuring the process by which you access and use the website protects you from this; and
      4. any site linked from the website. Any link on the website to other sites does not imply any endorsement, approval or recommendation of, or responsibility for, those sites or their contents, operations, products or operators.
    2. We make no representation or warranty that the website is appropriate or available for use in all countries or that the content satisfies the laws of all countries.
    3. You are responsible for ensuring that your access to and use of the website is not illegal or prohibited, and for your own compliance with applicable local laws.
    4. All fees are listed in Singapore Dollars.
    5. SECC not liable for any Loss including but not limited to exchange rates, legal costs, any government tax/ fees, interests charges, and late payment fees.
    6. All logos, product names, trademarks and registered trademarks are property of their respective owners. All company, product and service names used in this website and SECC promotional materials are for identification purposes only. Use of these names, trademarks and brands does not imply endorsement.
    7. SECC not liable for any partner organizations/ individuals business and services which are outside of the service/s offered by SECC.
  2. Liability
    1. To the maximum extent permitted by law:
      1. you access and use the website at your own risk; and
      2. we are not liable or responsible to you or any other person for any Loss under or in connection with these Terms, the website, or your access and use of (or inability to access or use) the website. This exclusion applies regardless of whether our liability or responsibility arises in contract, tort (including negligence), equity, breach of statutory duty, or otherwise.
    2. Except to the extent permitted by law, nothing in these Terms has the effect of any consumer protection law. To the extent our liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our liability is limited to SGD$1.
    3. To the maximum extent permitted by law and only to the extent paragraphs 7.1 and 7.2 of these Terms do not apply, our total liability to you under or in connection with these Terms, or in connection with the website, or your access and use of (or inability to access or use) the website, must not exceed SGD$1.
  3. Privacy Policy
    1. We will share your personal data with our partners and organizations in order to fulfill the service/s you expecting form us or/ and to serve you better.
  4. Suspension and Termination
    1. Without prejudice to any other right or remedy available to us, if we consider that you have breached these Terms or we otherwise consider it appropriate, we may immediately, and without notice, suspend or terminate your access to the Website (or any part of it).
    2. On suspension or termination, you must immediately cease using the Website and must not attempt to gain further access.
  5. General
    1. If we need to contact you, we may do so by email or by posting a notice on the Website. You agree that this satisfies all legal requirements in relation to written communications.
    2. These Terms, and any dispute relating to these Terms or the Website, are governed by and must be interpreted in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Each party submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Singapore in relation to any dispute connected with these Terms or the Website.
    3. For us to waive a right under these Terms, the waiver must be in writing.
    4. If any part or provision of these Terms is or becomes illegal, unenforceable, or invalid, that part or provision is deemed to be modified to the extent required to remedy the illegality, unenforceability or invalidity. If a modification is not possible, the part or provision must be treated for all purposes as severed from these Terms. The remainder of these Terms will be binding on you.
    5. These Terms set out everything agreed by the parties relating to your use of the Website and supersede and cancel anything discussed, exchanged or agreed prior to you agreeing to these Terms. The parties have not relied on any representation, warranty or agreement relating to the Website that is not expressly set out in the Terms, and no such representation, warranty or agreement has any effect from the date you agreed to these Terms.

 

SECC Registration Terms

  1. Application of Terms

These Terms apply if you submit a Registration (as defined below). By submitting a Registration, you agree to these Terms. Any terms or conditions you may include in your Registration will have no effect.

  1. Changes

We may change these Terms at any time by posting a notice on the Website. Unless stated otherwise, any change takes effect from the date set out in the notice. You are responsible for ensuring you are familiar with the latest Terms. By submitting an Application or further Application Materials from the date on which the Terms are changed, you agree (or confirm your agreement, as the case may be) to be bound by the changed Terms.

  1. Interpretation

Registration means to submit your personal details electronically on the SECC Website www.secc.com.sg

Registration Materials means all information and materials submitted as part of your Registration.

We, Us, or Our means SECC.

Participating Employers are refers to businesses or organizations that SECC dealing with.

Participating Educational Institutions are refers to businesses or organizations that SECC dealing.

Personal information means information about an identifiable, living person.

Workshop means an orientation program as described on the Website that aims to facilitate jobseekers for their job hunting process in Singapore.

Objectionable includes being objectionable, defamatory, obscene, harassing, threatening, harmful, or unlawful in any way.

Personal information means information about an identifiable, living person.

Privacy Policy means our privacy and data protection policy.

Terms means these terms titled SECC Website Terms of Use.

Underlying System means any network, system, software, data or material that underlies or is connected to the Website.

Login means a unique name and/or password allocated to you to allow you to submit and manage your Application and Application Materials.

Website means the internet site at www.secc.com.sg

  1. Registration
  1. Do not proceed with the registration if you ever:
  1. been refused entry into or deported from any country.
  2. convicted in a court of law in any country.
  3. been prohibited from entering Singapore.
    1. Registrations must be submitted electronically via the website www.secc.com.sg. Registrations will not be accepted in any other way.
    2. Registrations for specific programs must be completed by the programs registration closing dates stated on the Website.
    3. If you submit your application after the closing date you will not be eligible for the program. However your details will be retained for future programs.
    4. You will need to create a user account using your legal name to register. You must create a single user account only.
    5. You may submit a single Registration only.
    6. You may be required to provide a video interview submission as part of your registration. If so, you will be invited to do so and provided with a link to our video interviewing platform.
    7. We may, at any time, ask you to clarify or provide additional information about any aspect of your Registration. You must endeavor to respond to these requests in a timely manner. We may take your clarifications and additional information into account when evaluating your Registration.
    8. If your circumstances change materially, with a potential to materially impact your Registration you must advise us immediately.
    9. If you decide that you’re no longer interested in the program you registered, you are required to let us know so that your profile can be removed.
    10. You acknowledge that SECC or our Partners may not refund fees you paid, due to your decision to withdrawal from a program.
    11. Additional Registration materials provided by you other than those requested will not be considered as a part of your registration.
    12. All Registration Materials must be in English. If not a translated copy of the document provided by a notary public is required.
    13. All the payments to the SECC are directly paid to SECC via online payment gateway at www.secc.com.sg.
    14. You acknowledge that SECC not liable for any payment you made to any other parties/ organizations other than above mentioned mode of payment.
    15. There is no priority given to any of the applicants by paying additional fees or by offering any forms of favors/ benefits.
    16. All applications processed based on individual’s merits.

 

  1. Withdrawing A Registration
    1. You may withdraw your SECC Registration and delete your user account at any time by logging into the user account you used to create your profile on www.secc.com.sg and by following the instructions provided.
  2. Processing Registrations
    1. Registered candidate profiles may be viewed and evaluated by the SECC Talent Team or participating partners or employers when being considered as potential matches.
    2. You acknowledge and agree that we may undertake due diligence of your Registration as follows:
      1. We may conduct reference checks, background checks, and online research about you.
      2. We may directly contact relevant third parties (such as previous employers, business associates, and educational institutions where you have studied and/or worked). You authorize us to collect additional information from any such third party and to use that information as part of our evaluation of your Registration.
    3. You must ensure that all referees provided by you to us have agreed to provide a reference to for you.
  3. Your Obligations
    1. You are responsible for satisfying yourself as to the requirements of Registering with SECC and any specific SECC programs you subsequently join. You should carefully review the Website, any information referenced in the Website and any other information we provide.
    2. You must:
      1. complete and submit your Registration and support Materials yourself, without assistance from any third party.
      2. satisfy yourself as to the correctness and sufficiency of your Registration.
    3. You must provide true, current and complete information in your dealings with us (including in all Registration Materials). You must let us know if your circumstances change materially, with a potential to impact your Registration.
    4. All information you provide to us (including in all Application Materials) must be consistent with the information you provide to Immigration & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore.
    5. Submission of false information is a criminal offence and the person/ organization who gave the false information may be subject to prosecution and sentenced to a fine and/or imprisonment if convicted.
    6. You must keep your Login secure and:
      1. not permit any other person to use your Login, including not disclosing or providing it to any other person; and
      2. immediately notify us if you become aware of any unauthorized use or disclosure of your Login contact us via email to secc.email@gmail.com.
    7. You must not:
      1. impersonate another person;
      2. attempt to influence or provide any form of personal inducement, reward or benefit to any SECC or our Partner personnel;
      3. act in a way, or use or introduce anything (including any virus, worm, Trojan horse, timebomb, keystroke logger, spyware or other similar feature) that in any way compromises, or may compromise, the Website or any Underlying System, or otherwise attempt to damage or interfere with the Website or any Underlying System;
      4. attempt to view, access or copy any material or data other than that which you are authorized to access; or
      5. transmit, input or store anything as part of your Registration, that breaches any third party right (including intellectual property rights and privacy rights) or is Objectionable, incorrect or misleading.
    8. You acknowledge that you may be prosecuted if I have provided any information, which is false in any material particular or is misleading by reason of the omission of any material particular.
    9. You acknowledge that if I breach of law or any condition above, you can be prosecuted in Court, or expelled and prohibited from entering Singapore.
    10. You shall not misuse controlled drugs or take part in any political or other activities during your stay in Singapore, which would make you an undesirable or prohibited immigrant under the Immigration Act.

 

SECC Workshop

    1. Details of SECC Workshop, including the registration, application process are set out on the Website. Please review the information on the Website in detail before submitting a Registration.
    2. You acknowledge that selection to join a SECC Workshop is merely for you to gain knowledge about job hunting process in Singapore context and allow candidates to explore opportunities available. SECC not guaranteed any job placements.
    3. If we found that your skills and qualifications are match with any available job openings from our participant employers, we may arrange job interviews for you. However it is competitive and is based on skills matched to the requirements of the employers and is not guaranteed.
    4. You acknowledge that SECC not liable for any Loss (monetary or emotionally) due to enroll with the program.
    5. You acknowledge that should you be invited to take part in a SECC Workshop, your travel expenses to Singapore and return to your location of origin and all other expenses incurred during your trip and your stay in Singapore are at your own expense.

You will not receive any funding from SECC or any SECC Partners. You are required to bring sufficient funds to cover the cost of your trip for the duration of your stay in Singapore. We are encouraging you to obtain a travel insurance from you home town as in an event of medical emergency, the medical fees are relatively high for the visitors in Singapore.

  1. SECC will provide accommodation during your stay for the SECC Workshop. Participants are strictly to stay in the accommodation arranged by SECC and adhere the rules and guidelines set by Us.

You acknowledge that you are not allowed to make any preference of choice for the accommodation arrangements. Allocations of rooms and other facilities are randomly selected and will be sole decision of SECC.

You acknowledge that during your stay, you are not permitted to smoke, consume alcohol or take any other forms of illegal drags at all the time. Individuals found breaching the in-house rules subjected to disciplinary actions and removed from the program.

    1. SECC cannot guarantee that you will be issued a visa to enter Singapore as this is the prerogative of Immigration & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore. However we will guide you with the correct process.
    2. You acknowledge that SECC has no agreements/ deals with your country’s embassy/ high commission. We may not entertain your country’s embassy/ high commission pertaining to any disputes or any other matters.

SECC Education Consultation Program

  1. Details of SECC Education Consultation Programme, including the registration, application process are set out on the Website. Please review the information on the Website in detail before submitting a Registration.
  2. You acknowledge that selection to engage SECC to guide you for study in Singapore, SECC’s role is merely to bridging you and potential educational institutions in Singapore.
  3. You acknowledge that SECC not liable for the referred Educational Institution’s including but not limited to program contents, quality, recognizability, grades, career path, ability to secure a job and any Loss (monetary or emotionally) due to enroll with a program.
  4. If we found that your skills and qualifications are match with our participant Educational Institutions, we will invite you to apply to courses/ programs based on our recommendation. You acknowledge that SECC not liable for the acceptance/ rejection of your application and offer a course/ program by the Educational Institution.
  5. You acknowledge that all your expenses to Singapore and return to your location of origin and all other expenses incurred during your trip and your stay in Singapore are at your own expense. You will not receive any funding from SECC or any SECC Partners. You are required to bring sufficient funds to cover the cost of your trip for the duration of your stay in Singapore.

If it is required, SECC may assist to look accommodation for you. You acknowledge that SECC not liable for including but not limited to the condition, reliability, convenience of the accommodation recommended.

  1. SECC cannot guarantee that you will be issued a visa to enter Singapore as this is the prerogative of Immigration & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore. However we will guide you with the correct process and the Educational Institution will apply for relevant visa/ immigration passes for you.

SECC Jobseekers Referral Program

  1. Details of SECC Job Seekers Referral Programme, including the registration, process are set out on the Website. Please review the information on the Website in detail before submitting a Registration.
  2. You acknowledge that selection to engage SECC to assist you to find your potential candidates, SECC’s role is merely to bridging you and potential candidates with relevant capacity.
  3. You acknowledge that SECC not liable for the referred Candidate’s including but not limited to performance, attitude, code of conduct etc.. However SECC strive for excellence to find the most ideal candidate for you.
  4. SECC cannot guarantee that the applicant will grant visa/ pass to enter Singapore as this is the prerogative of Ministry of Manpower/ Immigration & Checkpoints Authority of Singapore.
